6-4-26    THOUGHTS                      

FOCUS, CENTERING &  CLOSE ATTENTION  are our themes this morning!  Fulfilling, close attention to self, and the use of God’s gifts to us are the objects we seek.  1Cor 9:26-27   “Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air;  27  but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.”

Col 4:17   Say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it."
1Tim  4:16   Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.
Matt 25:14-15   For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.  15  And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.    (Why this Parable?)

Our Prayer:
Lord, teach us powerful self-examination methods.  Help us to see ourselves for real and in truth, that repentance and renewed zeal may result in every occasion.  Help us to desire growth in Your grace with every breath we take.  We want to abide in Your presence as we practice Your presence!  May it be our most important goal to be with You eternally!  In the name of  The Christ who Saves us,   Amen.
